IRON MOUNTAIN, MI – Bay College Iron Mountain Campus will host an informational open house for its Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and Paramedic programs on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. CT in Room 231A on the Iron Mountain campus.
The session is designed to provide information for community members interested in pursuing a career in Emergency Medical Services (EMS). Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about program requirements, career pathways, and educational options available through Bay College. Pizza and refreshments will be provided.
Bay College’s Paramedic program is offered as both a degree program and, for the first time beginning this fall, a certificate program. The EMT program is currently offered as a certificate program and will also be available through a 15-week Workforce Training Program for individuals seeking a shorter pathway into the profession. Both certificate programs can be completed in one academic year, while the Paramedic degree program can be completed in two years.
The Iron Mountain Campus began offering EMT courses in fall 2025 and looks forward to welcoming its first cohort of Paramedic students in fall 2026.
Jason Sullivan, Executive Director of the Iron Mountain Campus, said, “We look forward to welcoming interested community members to campus to learn more about these programs, which can be completed right here in Iron Mountain. These offerings are an exciting addition to our campus and provide a valuable opportunity for individuals throughout the region who are interested in serving their communities through emergency medical services.”
Fall semester classes begin Monday, August 24, 2026. Students can apply for admission online at www.baycollege.edu/apply.
