On Saturday, May 23, 2026 at approximately 1:36am, officers with the Niagara Police Department
and Marinette County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a stabbing incident at the Pit Stop Bar
& Grill in the City of Niagara.
Upon arrival, officers located an adult male suffering from an apparent stab wound to his leg.
Niagara Rescue responded to the scene and transported the victim to Marshfield Medical Center –
Dickinson for treatment. The victim’s injuries are non-life threatening.
Preliminary investigation indicates the incident occurred following a minor verbal altercation. The
suspect fled the scene prior to law enforcement arrival. The suspect, a 40-year-old male, was quickly
located and taken into custody in connection with the incident.
Charges under consideration/include:
Aggravated Battery – Intend Bodily Harm
This incident remains under active investigation. Additional information will be released as it
becomes available.
