Ever since the Aurora Mud Runs inception in 1985, the Mud Runs have been drawing thousands of people to Aurora to watch trucks speed through the mud. And for a good cause. The annual fund-raiser is to raise money for a new hall to house the Aurora Rescue Squad unit. Registration begins at 7 a.m. Races start at noon.The mud runs are a family event. Cost is $5. Children under age 12 are free. No pets and no carry ins are allowed. Food and drinks at the event are served by rescue squad personnel.
