Keyes Peak Roberts Memorial Ski Lessons and Race Rescheduled
Florence, WI…… Due to the extreme cold expected Jan. 26th, the Keyes Peak Roberts Memorial Ski Lessons and Race has been rescheduled. The event will be held Saturday, February 23rd from 9am – 3pm. If you were already registered, then you are all set for the new February date. If you’d like a refund, please call 715-528-5920. The Granite Peak Ski Team coaching staff from Wausau, WI, provides ski lessons and racing for kids ages 6-17 for only $10.00 ($20 max per family). This is a great opportunity for students of all skill levels to receive quality ski instruction from professional coaches. The $10 fee covers the daily lift ticket, ski rentals if needed and lessons from the Granite Peak Ski Team coaches from 9:00am until 11:30am.
After lunch, students can race for free on an official NASTAR course from 12:30 until 3pm during the Roberts Memorial Ski Race. Gold, silver and bronze medals will be awarded to the fastest male and female race times in the following age categories: 6-7, 8-9, 10-11, 12-13, 14-15, 16-17. The fastest skier of the day will receive the Mike Roberts Memorial Trophy.
Lunch concessions are available in the Ski Lodge. Keyes Peak is located 4 miles south of Florence on Hwy 101.
