the North Dickinson Branch. Tuesday, April 14 th at the Main Branch. Friday, April
17 th at the Solomonson Branch. Tuesday, April 21 st at the Main Branch. Friday,
April 24 th at the North Dickinson Branch. Tuesday, April 28 th at the Main Branch.
All sessions are 10:30-11:15 AM.
–Little ones, age 0-5, are going to learn BIG things! Through singing, dancing, and
storytelling, your littles will learn about BIG ideas, animals, and so much more!
Storytimes build early literacy, communication, and fine motor skills. Don’t miss
out!
Bow Wows and Books: Wednesday, April 8 th at the Main Branch from 5:00-6:00
PM. Wednesday, April 22 nd at the Solomonson Branch from 5:00-6:00 PM.

Indoor Lettuce Garden/ Melinda Meyers Webinar- Growing a Bountiful Harvest
When Time, Space & Budget Are Limited: Monday, April 13 th at the Main Branch
from 6:00-8:00 PM. Required registration for Indoor Lettuce Garden opens one

–Learn tips and strategies from gardening expert & author Melinda Myers that will
help you to maximize your harvest in any available space. Whether you have a
dedicated garden, grow in containers or squeeze fruits, vegetables, and herbs into
your other garden beds, she will help you grow produce no matter what your
limitations. She will discuss plant varieties as well as planting and harvesting
techniques to help increase your vegetable gardening success. Attendees will make
their own miniature indoor lettuce gardens to take home and grow.
Lego Club: Tuesday, April 14 th at the North Dickinson Branch from 3:15-4:00 PM.
— This program for kids in grades K-8 offers the opportunity to be creative while
building with Legos! At this month's meeting, participants will be building
dinosaurs! These will be displayed at the branch all summer long for our Unearth
a Story Summer Reading Program!
Board Meeting: Tuesday, April 14 th at the Main Branch starting at 5:00 PM.
Little Senses Playgroup: Thursday, April 16 th at the Main Branch from 10:30-11:30
AM.
— Join us for Little Senses Playgroup, perfect for little hands to explore! Every
month, we'll have different stations designed to engage your child's senses with fun
activities like tactile bins, sensory bottles, fine motor activities, and early literacy
activities. This is a special Spring-themed time for young children to discover and
play at their own pace, though we do ask that an adult stays to supervise. While
this event is ideal for ages 0-4, older siblings are welcome too!
Norway Monthly Book Club: Thursday, April 16 th at the Solomonson Branch from
2:00-2:45 PM.
— This month discussion will be on "Farewell to Manzanar" by Jeanne Wakatsuki
and "They Called Us Enemy" by George Takeis. New members are always
welcome!
Book Breakdown- Deer Mother: Saturday, April 18 th at the Main Branch from
10:00-11:30 AM.
–Nature photographer David Heritsch will share a slide show and stories on wild
mother deer Daisy and her fawn family he has followed and photographed for
years. Enjoy the beauty of nature, the sweetness of these deer, and how they
inspired his new book. Deer Mother will be available for purchase and signing.
Crafty Creations: Miniature Library: Monday, April 20 th at the Main Branch from
6:00-7:30 PM. Tuesday, April 21 st from 10:00-11:30 AM. Friday, April 24 th at the
North Dickinson Branch from 11:00-4:00 PM. Required registration for Main and
Solomonson Branches opens one week before the event; call respective branch to
register.
–Attendees will get to create their own personal miniature library with such items
as miniature books, lamps, artwork, etc.
Woodsy Dude Beeswax Luminaries: Saturday, April 25 th at the Main Branch from
11:00-1:00 PM. Required registration opens April 18 th ; call (906)774-1218.
–Joshua Stuck will be leading a class on how to make beeswax luminaries. Each
participant will be able to make and take home their own beeswax luminary. This
program is for ages 10 through adult!
Gamers’ Club: Tuesday, April 28 th at the North Dickinson Branch from 3:15-4:00
PM.
— This program is a great after school activity for kids in grades 3-8. Stop in and
play your favorite video games and board games! Games such as Mario Kart,
Super Smash Bros., and Minecaft will be available!
