— Tiny rubber ducks will be hidden at all three of our library branches all month
long. If you find a duck hidden in our shelves, you’ll win a goody bag of stress
relief items!
Cozy Mystery Book Club: Thursday, March 5 th at the Main Branch from 2:00-2:45
PM.
— Do you love suspenseful mysteries that aren’t too scary, or are you just in need
of new book recommendations? Stop by our monthly Cozy Mystery Book Club!
Wear something comfy and talk about all the cozies you’ve read recently! This
month’s meeting will be discussing Murder, I Spy by Lynn Morrison – #1 in the
Dora and Rex 1920’s mysteries.
Prom Dress Swap: Friday, March 6 th at 2:00 PM through Sunday, March 8 th at 4:30
PM at the Main Branch.
— Mark your calendar! Our annual Prom Dress Swap is BACK! ALL Dickinson
County Library branches are now accepting donations of clean & gently used
dresses, ties, shoes, and accessories for our Prom Dress Swap! This event allows
teens to come in and choose a dress and accessories free of charge! Donations will
be accepted anytime at the Main Branch, and through Thursday, March 5 at the
Solomonson and North Dickinson branches. There is no need to bring something
to participate; the event is open to everyone. The Dress Swap would not be
possible without the Friends of the Library and generous donations from the
public. Thank you!
Lego Club: Tuesday, March 10 th at the North Dickinson Branch from 3:15-4:00
PM.
— This program for kids in grades K-8 offers the opportunity to be creative while
building with Legos! At this month’s meeting, participants will be challenged to
make Lego codes. They will use color and number coding to make a secret
message and try to debunk other participants secret messages.
Board Meeting: Tuesday, March 10 th at the Main Branch starting at 5:00 PM.
Bow Wows and Books: Wednesday, March 11 th at the Main Branch 5:00-6:00 PM.
Wednesday, March 25 th at the Solomonson Branch from 5:00-6:00 PM. Required

— Patrons of all ages and reading abilities are invited to read to therapy dogs!
Time slots are 15 minutes long.
March Reading Month Book Bingo: Thursday, March 12 th at the Main Branch from
5:30-6:30 PM. Tuesday, March 17 th at the North Dickinson Branch from 3:00-4:00
PM. Registration is required for the Main Branch; Call (906)774-1218.
— March is reading month! To celebrate kids ages 5-12 are invited to play Book
Bingo! Prizes will include books, bookmarks, and stickers! At our Main Branch
celebration there will be cake and snacks will be provided for both events!
Understanding Alzheimer’s and Dementia: Thursday, March 12 th at the Main
Branch from 6:00-7:00 PM.
— Guest speaker Jonathan Vanderlugt will be at our Main Branch to share
information on Alzheimer’s and dementia. Vanderlugt will discuss the differences
between Alzheimer’s and dementia, the stages of Alzheimer’s disease, and risk
factors to look out for. He will cover current research and available treatments and
share ways the Alzheimer’s Association can help.
Diamond Art: Wednesday, March 18 th at the Felch Senior Center from 5:00-6:15
PM.
— Diamond art is a relaxing and easy craft for everyone to participate in! This
event for ALL AGES will take place during and after the Felch Senior Center’s
evening meal. Our librarians will have diamond art bookmarks available for
adults, and diamond art stickers available for children.
Little Senses Playgroup: Thursday, March 19 th at the Main Branch from 10:30-
11:30 AM.
— Join us for Little Senses Playgroup, perfect for little hands to explore! Every
month, we’ll have different stations designed to engage your child’s senses with fun
activities like tactile bins, sensory bottles, fine motor activities, and early literacy
activities. This is a special time for young children to discover and play at their
own pace, though we do ask that an adult stays to supervise. While this event is
ideal for ages 0-4, older siblings are welcome too!
Norway Monthly Book Club: Thursday, March 19 th at the Solomonson Branch
from 2:00-2:45 PM.
— This month discussion will be on The Cloisters by Katy Hays. New members are
always welcome!
Crafty Creations- Cactus Gardens: Friday, March 20 th at the North Dickinson
Branch from 11:00-4:00 PM. Monday, March 23 rd at the Main Branch from 6:00-
7:30 PM. Tuesday, March 24 th at the Solomonson Branch from 10:00-11:30 PM.
— This month’s Crafty Creation project is to make small cactus gardens.
Participants will receive a small clay pot to decorate and fill with rocks painted to
look like cacti! A perfect craft to liven up a room with no care needed!
BIG TIME Storytime: Tuesday, March 24 th at the Main Branch from 10:30-11:15
AM. Friday, March 27 th at the North Dickinson Branch from 10:30-11:15 AM.

— Little ones, age 0-5, are going to learn BIG things! Through singing, dancing,
and storytelling, your littles will learn about BIG ideas, animals, and so much
more! Storytimes build early literacy, communication, and fine motor skills. Don’t
miss out!
Gamers’ Club: Tuesday, February 24 th at the North Dickinson Branch from 3:15-
4:00 PM.
— This program is a great after school activity for kids in grades 3-8. Stop in and
play your favorite video games and board games! Games such as Mario Kart,
Super Smash Bros., and Minecaft will be available!
Winter Blues Staycation Party: Tuesday, March 31 st at the Main Branch from
2:00-3:00 PM.
— Are your little ones getting the winter blues this spring break? Don’t worry, have
a staycation with Bluey! Kids 5-8 are invited to a spring-break party! Watch
episodes of Bluey and play Bluey themed games! Piñatas, masks, activities, and
snacks will all be available. A great activity for kids to get out of the house in a
safe and fun environment.
