URGENT – WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE

An arctic cold front will bring freezing drizzle or light
freezing rain to the region early this morning, followed by snow
for the rest of the day. The snow will become heavy at times in
parts of north central Wisconsin. Much colder air will arrive in
the wake of the front this afternoon, and cause a flash freeze as
wet roads quickly turn to ice. Motorists should be prepared for
very hazardous travel conditions for the morning and evening
commutes.

Including the cities of Crandon, Aurora, Commonwealth,
Spread Eagle, Antigo, and Wausau.
WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM CST THIS EVENING…
* WHAT…Light freezing rain will change to snow during the mid to
late morning, with light snow continuing through the afternoon.
Ice accumulations of less than a tenth of an inch are
anticipated, followed by snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches.
Plan on very hazardous travel conditions for the morning and
evening commutes.
* WHERE…Forest, Florence, Langlade and Marathon Counties.
* WHEN…Until 6 PM CST this evening.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Be prepared for reduced visibilities in
dense fog and snow at times. In addition, falling temperatures
will cause wet roads to quickly freeze this afternoon, resulting
in icy conditions.
