(FELCH, MI.)–State Police from the Iron Mountain Post have been searching since Monday for a missing woman. The search began when dispatch was notified that a number of packages and mail, had not been taken into the home by the resident, 65-year old Debra Lee Deacon for several days. Troopers said the residence appeared to be in order and there was no sign of foul play. Subsequent investigation led to discovery of Deacon’s body in a nearby pond. There was no evidence of foul play at that location either. Troopers were assisted by deputies from the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Department and by members of Norway Fire Department Search and Rescue.
