Iron Mountain, MI Recently, the Dickinson Area Chamber of Commerce
membership chose 2 new board members and re-welcomed three to
continue on for another term.
The newly elected 2024 Dickinson Area Chamber of Commerce Board
members are as follows:
COLE GRENIER, THE FIRST NATIONAL BANK &
TRUST
Cole is currently serving on the chamber board of
directors and is an Assistant Vice President in
Commercial Lending at First National Bank & Trust. He
has been involved with the chamber board since 2021 as
well as other community events and boards such as
Buckmasters, Financial Secretary with Trinity United Methodist Church,
UPTRA Treasurer and is a Chamber Ambassador. He has also participated
in the leadership academy at Bay College as well as the MBA Commercial
Lending School.
ISAAC MICHEAU, CITY OF IRON MOUNTAIN
Isaac is currently serving his first term on the chamber
board. He enjoys contributing ideas to committees within the
chamber. He has served on golf committee, ski jump
committee, building committee and Lemonade Day
committee. Isaac’s non-chamber events include Out-to-Lunch and he is
proud to say that he was able to partner with fellow church members to
develop a sustainable framework for the Sunday School program. Isaac
also has been involved with the Dickinson Amateur Hockey Association as
a volunteer as well as treasurer and youth hockey coach and now serves
the skating community at large in his role as Secretary of the Mountain
View Ice Arena board.
MINDY MEYERS, RADIO RESULTS NETWORK
Mindy is currently an Account Executive with Radio Results
Network and has more than 13 years’ experience in traditional
and contemporary marketing methods, building a tangible
community, facilitating sales and directing successful events. In
her current role as President of the Chamber Ambassadors she
has dedicated her time to encourage new businesses to join the
chamber, started the Junior Ambassador program for area youth and has
begun the steps for the chamber to form a 501(3)3 arm.
TERESA SCHETTLER, MARSHFIELD MEDICAL CENTER-
DICKINSON
Teresa is currently serving on the chamber board as Vice
President and has been part of various sub committees at the
chamber level including Lemonade Day and Marketing
committee. She has served as Vice President since 2018 and is
also a member of the Chamber Ambassadors group.
DR. JOHN SHEALEY, OSCAR G JOHNSON VA MEDICAL
CENTER
Dr. Shealey is currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer at
the Department of Veterans Affairs, serving at the Oscar G.
Johnson VA Medical Center. His background in business,
accounting, finance, education and government administration
will be helpful in assisting the chamber to develop, plan and
execute a strategic plan to achieve the growth and developmental goals for
our community. He looks forward to providing a healthcare, veteran and
academic perspective to issues discussed at the chamber board level. He
has worked and continues to work in both the public and private sectors
which gives him a well-rounded viewpoint on most issues faced by the
chamber board. Dr. Shealey has been involved with the American Legion,
Bay College Nursing Advisory Board, Bay College Business
Accounting/Finance Advisory Board, American College of Healthcare
Executive, Health care Financial Managers Association, Michigan Hospital
Association and UP Hospital CEO collaborative.

Alex Carey (Carey Disaster Restoration and Carey Duct Cleaning), Tyler
Swanson (Northern Interstate Bank), Kevin Hanson (Office Planning
Group), Carmen Frank (UP Michigan Works), Mick Gayan (First National
Bank & Trust), Chris Hanley (Chris Hanley State Farm Agency), Tanya
Hiltonen (City of Kingsford), Bruce Orttenburger (SCORE), Jerry
Sardina (Iron Mountain Public Schools), Louis Steigerwald (Norway Area
Schools).
At the first regular meeting of the Dickinson Area Chamber of Commerce
board of directors meeting held in January, the board voted Alex Carey as
President, Teresa Schettler as Vice President, Tyler Swanson as Treasurer
and Kevin Hanson as Secretary.
Chamber Executive Director, Suzanne Larson, stated: “I’m happy to
welcome newly elected Dr. Shealey and Mindy Meyers to the Chamber
Board of Directors. Their backgrounds will benefit our Chamber in many
ways as we move forward to seek new ways to improve our Chamber and
provide excellent value for our members. I’m also very happy to welcome
back Teresa, Isaac and Cole. Their involvement with our Chamber has
been extremely valuable over the years. All fifteen members of our 2024
Board of Directors are valuable, indispensable members of our Chamber.
I’m excited to work with each of them this year to better our Chamber and
our community!”
