Niagara Lions Club President Gordon Behnke has announced that the club’s annual spring flower sale is now in progress. The Lions have conducted this popular project for nearly a quarter century although last year’s sale was cancelled due to the pandemic. Lion Kim Schuster is again serving as project chairman this year. This year the club will again be offering three choices for potential purchasers. In addition to the beautiful roses and the delightful spring bouquet of various wild flowers, the club is also offering what is called a “Rainbow” which features a variety of multicolored roses. Posters and order blanks have been placed at many businesses in Niagara including Best Buy Party Store, Bob’s Country Bar, Forward Financial Credit Union, Nicolet Bank, Nev’s North Star, Northwoods IGA, Pit Stop Bar, Red Brick Inn, Scott’s Uptown Lanes, Tripp’s Tavern, and The Bunker. Other businesses selling include Quinnesec’s Big 10 Sports Bar, Kingsford’s Woodward Bar, and C&R Bar, Tom & Jo’s Liquor, and Who’s Next Bar in Aurora.
The cost for the flowers is only $20.00 for a dozen beautiful roses, the spring bouquet, or the Rainbow roses or $35.00 for two dozen, $50.00 for three dozen, or $15.00 each for four dozen or more. All orders must be made in advance and the deadline to order is Sunday, March 27. Lions Club members will provide free home delivery for all pre-ordered flowers on Thursday-Saturday, April 21-23.
The Niagara Lions Club is affiliated with the International Association of Lions Clubs which is the world’s largest service organization. In addition to supporting the goals and objectives of the international organization, the Niagara Lions Club is the leading local service organization providing many benefits to the community and youth of Niagara.
