IRON MOUNTAIN, MI- The Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center will be hosting an Information Fair as well as a VA health care presentation and Q&A with the Medical Center Director on Wednesday, November 1. These events are open to all Veterans, their families, and the general public. The medical center is located at 325 East H. Street in Iron Mountain, Michigan.
The VA Information Fair will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Central Time in the main outpatient waiting area. The fair will highlight many of the health care services and programs offered by the VA, including caregiver support, hospice and palliative care, woman Veteran’s health care, audiology, rehabilitation services, peer support and other recovery programs, suicide prevention, and more.
The VA health care presentation and Q&A hosted by Mr. Jim Rice, Medical Center Director, will be held at 12 p.m. Central Time in the Holman Room located on the basement level. The presentation will focus on VA’s top five priorities, health care services provided by the Iron Mountain VA Medical Center, and initiatives to improve Veterans’ access to health care.
“This is another great opportunity for Veterans and their families or friends, whether they are enrolled in VA health care or not, to come and get more information and ask questions about what VA has to offer to them or their loved ones who have served their country,” said Brad Nelson, spokesman for the medical center.
“As we approach Veterans Day we want to let people know the services that we provide and that every day is Veteran’s Day here at the medical center,” he added.
