The Parkinson Society of Dickinson County Area, a support group for
Parkinson’s Disease patients, caregivers, family and friends, will meet on
Thursday, March 9, 2017 at the First Presbyterian Church on Hamilton Ave.
In Kingsford. The social time and gathering will begin at 10:00. This is the
time to sign-in, get a name tag, have some coffee, and meet and greet
each other. The meeting will begin with exercises and agenda items. On
the agenda are Parkinson Alliance Survey discussion, the symposium to be
held on September 22, 2017, and any other items of interest to the group.
The meeting this month will be chaired by Koni Lindholm, Claire Kennedy and Nancy Lakari.
Following the meeting, the program will be presented by Dr. Alexis Whaley,
speaking on the topic of Sleep Disorders in Parkinson’s Disease.
Dr. Whaley is board certified in sleep disorders and is employed at DCHS
and U.P. Sleep Disorder Center.
A light lunch will be available after the program, compliments of Dr. Whaley.
