(IRON MOUNTAIN, MI.)–“The Iron Mountain Police Department would like to remind the citizens of Iron Mountain that we have ordinances in reference to “Blight, according Edwin Mattson, Director of Police and Fire Services in Iron Mountain who added, “Blight” is garbage and or other junk that is left in someone’s yard or on their property. Also considered blight are vehicles that are not registered, not insured and or are not operable. If you have any of these issued in your yard please take care of them before citations are issued.” Mattson said, “We would also like to let the public know that if you live in the City if Iron Mountain, the City is having their yearly large item drop off on May 10th (7:30am – 7:00pm), May 11th (7:30am-3:30pm) and May 12th (7:30am – 3:30pm) at the Department of Public Works.” Mattson concluded, “This is a great opportunity to remove existing Blight from your yards.” Further details can be found at www.cityofironmountain.com
