(CRYSTAL FALLS, MI.)– Closing arguments began this morning of the nearly two week long trial. Kelly Cochran is accused of murder in a trial that was given three weeks to complete. This morning Prosecuting Attorney Melissa Powell presented her arguments to the jury. As of Monday afternoon, the defense had rested it’s case, in which Cochran is accused of assisting her late husband Jason, kill then dismember and hide the remains of Christopher Regan of Iron River. The 14-member jury will begin deliberations following the closing arguments from both the defense and the prosecution. Cochran faces life in prison.
