The monthly meeting of the Northwoods Philatelic Society (Stamp Club) is scheduled for Tuesday night, January 15th, at 7:00 p.m., and will be held in the Fellowship Room at First Lutheran Church, 1210 South Stephenson Avenue in Iron Mountain. The church is located behind Slumberland Furniture.
There will be a short business meeting, a brief educational program, and the usual informal Stamp Club Auction. Members are encouraged to bring up to five lots for the auction, and the club will also auction lots of some recently acquired stamps.
The Northwoods Philatelic Society promotes the fun and fellowship of stamp collecting. The club is comprised of folks from both Michigan and Wisconsin and is open to students as well as adults. Collectors range from very new to sophisticated. Membership is free, and the only requirement is a desire to learn about stamp collecting. The meetings are fun and informal, and everybody is welcome.
