Democrat Joselyn Benson will square off against Republican John James for Governor in November. Governor Whitmer is term limited. For the 38th District State Senate seat, Dave Prestin will face Kelly Van Ginhoven. Prestin defeated Beau LaFave 16,916 to 14,833. Callie Barr will face incumbent Jack Bergman for the 1st Congressional seat in November. Barr defeated Kyle Blonquist 54,607 to 33,382. All ballot proposals won by large numbers yesterday with the Dickinson County road millage renewal winning 3990 yes to 1397 no. The renewal for the Norway-Vulcan Senior Citizens Center passed 963 yes to 524 no. The Tri County Ambulance Authority millage for Breen, Felch and West Branch passed 270 yes to 72 no. And the Sagola Township fire and ambulance protection renewal millages passed 267 yes to 52 no.
