(EAGLE RIVER, WI) JULY 15 – The return of the Badger Midgets to Eagle River Speedway Saturday, July 18 kicks off a busy schedule for the next several weeks at the popular third-mile, clay oval tucked away in Wisconsin’s northwoods.
The speedway hosts the popular, open-wheeled class with the oldest sanctioning body in the United States – the Badger Midget Auto Racing Association (BMARA). Joining the Midgets on the Saturday night special at ERS will be street stocks, 300 and 600 micro sprints and Dairyland Vintage racers. The action gets underway at 6 p.m.
Just a few days later on Tuesday, July 21, the IMCA modifieds will roll into town for their second, IMCA Fast Shaft Qualifying race. The fully sanctioned event will pay $1,000 to the winner.
Tigerton’s Wyatt Block captured the first event back in June. All Tuesday night races begin at 7 p.m.
On Tuesday, July 28, a kid’s coin & candy toss will take place, while on Tuesday, August 4 the street stock division will scrap for some extra cash.
On August 10 and 11, the highest paying race in track history will take place with the running of the first ever “Rumble At The River” Monday & Tuesday August 10 & 11. A $10,250 top prize will await the winner of the B modified feature.
The event, which is expected to draw top talent from several Midwestern states, is sponsored by Dalbeck Sales and Dustin White Construction. Drivers can pre-enter now (and are encouraged to do so) through the MyRacePass app. A test-and-tune and pre-tech is scheduled to take place Sunday, August 9.
The track’s annual backpack giveaway night is set for Tuesday, August 18 with championship night serving as the final points night of racing on Tuesday, August 25.
The curtain closes on the 2026 season at ERS Saturday, September 5. A test-and-tune session is set for Friday, September 4.
