(IRON MOUNTAIN, MI.)–In a joint statement, the K.I.N.D Drug Enforcement Team and Dickinson County Prosecuting Attorney, Lisa Richards, it was announced there is a new tips line in place for residents in Dickinson County to report drug activity. People can call the tips line at (906)-774-8008, and leave a recorded message. The line will be monitored by law enforcement officials on a daily basis. People can either report the information anonymously or, if they would like a return call, can leave their name and contact information. Although the tips line is designed to target illegal drug activities in the area, people can also leave information regarding other (non drug related) crimes and activity. K.I.N.D is a multi jurisdictional drug enforcement team comprised of the Kingsford Public Safety Department, Iron Mountain Police Department, Norway Police Department and Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office. Residents will see the tips line displayed (via bumper sticker) on each agency’s fleet of squad car’s bumper.
