(BEAVER. WI.)–Marinette County Sheriff Jerry Sauve says a Hispanic man who died early Saturday morning when his vehicle crashed with a tree in Beaver, Wisconsin, is 35-year-old Pound resident, Francisco Escobar. The accident occurred at approximately 2:42 a.m., Saturday. A passerby reported the Escobar crash on County Road P just west of US-141. A deputy arrived to the scene shortly after where he found Escobar had been from the vehicle and was lying near the wreckage. After investigating, officials found the crashed SUV had been westbound on County P, left the road east of US-141, crossed 141 left the road to the right on County P west of US-141, then eventually collided with the tree. Marinette County Coroner George Smith pronounced Francisco Escobar dead at the scene and had suffered massive head and internal injuries. Sheriff Sauve says speed and alcohol are believed to be factors in the fifth fatal crash of the year, which remains under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office and the Coroner.
