(IRON MOUNTAIN, MI.)–Adam Ryan, M.D., Dickinson County Healthcare System OB/GYN was recently presented with the Michigan State University Excellence in Teaching Award. The recognition was bestowed upon him by the MSU College of Human Science, Graduating Class of 2018 as a token of sincere appreciation and recognition of his dedication and ability in the art of teaching. At a recent Hospital Board meeting where Dr. Ryan’s award was announced, Dr. Ryan said, “I was thrilled to receive the award. Coming from the students it is a great honor and it is also very humbling. I am very appreciative to be involved in educating our future healthcare providers and I thank DCHS, John Schon and his staff for allowing me to do my work.” DCHS CEO / Administrator John Schon acknowledged the great achievement by saying, “Dr. Ryan is a wonderful and talented physician as well as a great DCHS ambassador. We are fortunate to have him as a member of our medical staff and as an active member of our community. He provides great care to our patients and we appreciate him as much as the MSU students. Thank you Dr. Ryan for all you do.” Hospital Board Chairman, Bill Edberg also commented, “On behalf of the DCHS Hospital Board of Directors we applaud Dr. Ryan for his efforts both inside and outside of our health system.
