(IRON MOUNTAIN, MI) -– Veterans and their families are invited to a Veteran Town Hall in Norway, Michigan at 5 p .m. (CDT) on Tuesday, May 8, 2018. The Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center will host the Town Hall at the American Legion Hall located at 621 Main Street in Norway. It is open to all Veterans, their families and friends. For those that are unable to come in person, the town hall will also be streamed live on the Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center’s Facebook page and the video post will be available for later viewing. “We find these town halls to be very beneficial in providing our Veterans and their families with updates on new initiatives and programs as well as listen to their feedback,” said Brad Nelson, Public Affairs Officer at the Iron Mountain-based VA Medical Center. It is also a great opportunity for Veterans and families of Veterans who may not be using VA services to come and learn more about VA health care and how it could benefit them, according to Nelson. Leaders from the VA Medical Center, Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency, and area County Veteran Service Officers will be on hand to provide a presentation on VA health care, discuss new initiatives and programs, answer questions, and listen to Veterans’ comments and concerns.
