(IRON MOUNTAIN, MI)–The library in Iron Mountain is hosting the redesign of the Reading Room at the Main Branch in Iron Mountain. Now through December 31st, donations toward the campaign will help compete for a matching grant from the Michigan Economic Development Corporation. The ideas for the new design are directly based on patron feedback about the need for better lighting nad more comfortable seating. Visit the library’s website to see the full preliminary plan and donate. Donations can be made online through Patronicity or in person at any of the library branches. Library officials said, “Even the smallest amount will make a big difference with the current quadrupling offer available from our Friends of the Library group; donations in the jar at the Main Branch will be matched by the Friends up to $3,000, then matched again by the MEDC if the overall goal is reached.” The Friends of the Library have generously donated $1,000 and they are looking forward to matching the donations.
