10/21/2017
5:18 pm a deputy responded to a 2-vehicle property damage accident in Harris Township. A vehicle driven by David Pavlat (67) of Quinnesec attempted to cross the highway however failed to see an oncoming vehicle and was struck by a vehicle driven by Corey Nelson (39) of Wilson. Nelson was able to avoid the vehicle however struck the trailer that Pavlat was pulling. No injuries were reported but Nelson’s vehicle had to be towed from the scene.
8:30 pm a deputy initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for careless driving. Upon further investigation the driver, Jordan Beaudoin (26) of Menominee, was arrested for operating under the influence of drugs. Beaudoin was transported to the Menominee County Jail where he was lodged without incident. The passenger, Chad Williams (24) of Menominee, was arrested for possession of marijuana. Williams was given a court date and time to appear before 95A District Court of Menominee and was released.
9:37 pm a deputy was dispatched to a disturbance in the City of Stephenson. Upon further investigation Kylee Sundstrom (20) of Ingalls was arrested for minor in possession/consumption of alcohol. Kylee was given a court date and time to appear before 95A District Court of Menominee and was released.

06:54 am a deputy responded to Menominee Township for a report of a juvenile runaway complaint. The caller stated when he woke up the juvenile was gone. After conducting an investigation, the juvenile was located and the incident was sent to the Juvenile Probation Officer for review.

07:40 a deputy responded to a one vehicle traffic accident in Harris Township. A vehicle driven by, Lauren Lane (24) of Carney was traveling north on county road 551 when a she was unable to avoid a tree in the road. Lane stated it was very windy and raining at the time and she was unable to avoid the tree due to other traffic in the area. No injuries were reported and the vehicle sustained only minor damage.

09:00 am a deputy investigated an embezzlement case in Spalding Township. The CEO of a business filed a complaint that one of his managers, a 29-year-old Stephenson woman, was suspected of embezzling money. An investigation was conducted and was sent to the Prosecutor’s office where charges were issued.
02:00 pm a deputy arrested Antonio Gonzalez (22) of Wilson on a valid warrant in Delta County. The warrant was for failure to appear to show cause out of 41st Circuit Court of Menominee. Gonzalez was transported to the Menominee County jail where he was lodged without incident.
03:22 pm a deputy responded to a possible violation of a court order complaint that the County Juvenile Officer was working on. After conducting an investigation charges were being requested on a 52-year-old Stephenson woman for violation of a court order. The incident was sent to the Prosecutor’s office for review.
07:35 pm a deputy initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for speed and loud exhaust in Cedarville Township. Upon making contact with the driver, a 21-year-old Marinette, WI man, he was arrested for no operator’s license. He was issued a court date and time to appear before 95A District Court of Menominee and was released.
09:46 pm deputies initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for an equipment violation in Cedarville Township. Upon further investigation the driver, a 32-year-old Escanaba man, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, possession of LSD, and driving while license suspended. The Escanaba man was transported to the Menominee County Jail where he was lodged without incident.

10:24 am a deputy was dispatched to a parking lot in the City of Stephenson for a child custody dispute. Upon arriving the deputy looked over a photograph of the custody agreement and both parties were advised of his understanding of the order. The incident was then cleared.
02:45 pm a deputy arrested Michelle Walding (63) of Menominee for a probation violation in the City of Menominee. Walding violated her probation and was ordered to jail by her probation officer. Walding was transported to the Menominee County Jail where she was lodged without incident.
01:51 pm a deputy was contacted by a business owner in the City of Menominee in reference to some abandoned vehicles. The deputy processed 5 vehicles for abandonment through the state of Michigan.

06:20 am a deputy was dispatched to the area of M-35 in Ingallston Township for a report of a reckless driver heading southbound. The deputy located the suspect vehicle and initiated a traffic stop on it for excessive speed and swerving. After making contact with the driver and conducting an investigation, Dalton Cook (21) Reedsville, WI, was arrested for operating while intoxicated, transporting open intoxicants and no operator’s license. Cook was transported to the Menominee County Jail where he was lodged without incident.
04:29 pm a deputy was advised to contact a male subject in reference to a threats complaint that occurred in Faithorn Township. The caller stated he was threatened by a neighbor and would like something on file in case anything further took place.

04:16 pm a deputy was advised to contact a City of Stephenson man for a malicious destruction of property complaint. The caller stated someone had done some damage to his residence however he did not want an investigation conducted. The caller stated he just wanted a report on file in case anything further occurred.

06:10 am a deputy responded to a one vehicle traffic accident in Menominee Township. A vehicle driven by Jacob Richard (25) of Wallace, failed to stop for the stop sign and crossed the roadway and went in the ditch striking a tree. Richard was not injured in the accident however his vehicle sustained some damage.
10:24 am a deputy responded along with Harris fire department and several other surrounding fire departments to an accidental structure fire in Harris Township. The fire was to a barn and was a total loss. Some animals did perish in the fire. 2 vehicles parked near the barn were also damaged in the fire.
02:05 pm a deputy was dispatched to a residence in Harris Township for a larceny complaint. The caller stated he had some brush stolen from his property the day before. An investigation was conducted and is ongoing.
04:57 pm a deputy was contacted by a female in Cedarville Township in reference to a personal protection order violation. The complainant stated the 37-year-old Vulcan man continues to contact her and she would like it reported. An investigation was conducted and sent to the prosecutor’s office for review and possible charges.

03:55 pm a deputy was dispatched to Meyer Township for a malicious destruction of property compliant. The caller stated that someone damaged the lawn that had just been repaired. The investigation is ongoing.

03:44 pm a deputy responded to a 2-vehicle traffic accident in Mellen Township. A vehicle driven by Keiton Stahley (17) of Beecher, WI, was struck by a vehicle driven by Andrew Marsh (33) of Hermansville. Stahley failed to yield when pulling out of an intersection and was struck by Marsh. Stahley was pinned in the vehicle and had to be removed by Mellen Fire Department. He was transported to the hospital by Mid County Rescue Squad. 2 other occupants in Stahley’s vehicle were also injured. Marsh complained of injury however sought his own treatment. Both vehicles sustained disabling damage and were towed from the scene.
05:04 pm a deputy responded to a one vehicle traffic accident in Nadeau Township. A vehicle driven by Jonathon Ashauer (18) of Hermansville was traveling to fast to navigate a corner and ran off of the roadway and stuck a tree. The passenger in the vehicle sustained injury and has to be transported to the hospital for treatment. The vehicle sustained disabling damaged and was towed from the scene. Ashauer was cited for speed to fast.
09:22 pm a deputy responded to a one vehicle rollover accident in Menominee Township. A vehicle had been located in a field with no driver around. Upon further investigation the driver was later identified and several days later contacted the deputy and advised that he was driving at the time of the accident. The deputy advised that it appeared as though he straightened out the corner which then caused him to strike a fence and rollover. The driver, Christopher Plutchak (43) of Menominee was cited for careless driving and the vehicle sustained disabling damage and had to be towed from the scene.
11/04/2017
09:51 am a deputy responded to a business in Nadeau Township for a retail fraud complaint. The caller stated he was holding the suspect until law enforcement could arrive. Upon arrival the suspect, a 21-year-old Spalding man admitted to stealing. The Spalding man was transported to the Menominee County Jail where he was lodged without incident.
01:10 pm a deputy was dispatched to a residence in Menominee Township for suspicious situation. The caller stated he heard of a post on Facebook about his daughter and he was concerned about it and wanted the situation looked into. An investigation was conducted and the incident was closed due to no crime having been committed.
Deputies responded to 9 vehicles vs. animal complaints, the K-9’s were called for assistance 1 time and 2 salvage vehicle inspections were conducted.
