(DETROIT, MI.)–AAA projects 1.6-million will travel this holiday period, which has seen a slight increase the past several years and the most since 2007. It has posted a 3.5-percent increase again this year. This marks the eighth consecutive year of growth for Thanksgiving travel in Michigan as more people take to the nation’s roads, skies, rails and waterways. The Thanksgiving travel in Michigan is defined as Wednesday, November 22 through Sunday, November 26th. Vicky Evans of AAA said, “Thanksgiving kicks off the start of what will likely become the busiest holiday season in more than a decade.”
