(SAULT STE MARIE, MI.)– American and Canadian active, honorably discharged and retired military personnel, police officers and firefighters are being invited by Kewadin Casinos to sign up for the Valor Card starting November 11 at all five Kewadin Casinos locations. The card is being launched at all five Kewadin Casinos as part of the Northern Rewards Club to recognize and thank these members for their service. The launch of the Valor Card is timed with Kewadin’s Veterans Day promotion on November 11. On Veterans Day, those eligible for the card will receive a $1 United States mint coin honoring Code Talkers of World War I and World War II — while supplies last — as well as a Valor Card, list of benefits and $10 in Kewadin Credits. Valor Card holders visiting the casino also will receive double the points from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. that day and enjoy a coffee and baked goods social from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. “Veterans Day is November 11, making it an important occasion to honor our brave veterans, past and present, with the Valor Card,” said Kewadin Casinos CEO Ron Olson. “It’s appropriate that those of us at Kewadin Casinos give back to our veterans and customers in any way we can.” Customers must be active or retired military personnel, police officers or firefighters and show proof of their service in order to receive the Valor Card. Kewadin Casinos is also creating a wall inside Kewadin Casino Sault Ste Marie’s Bahweting Art Gallery to honor Sault Tribe member and employee veterans. The wall will begin displaying photos and other items starting November 11. Veterans are asked to bring in photos and items from their time in service to include in the display.
