(IRON MOUNTAIN, MI.)–Iron Mountain’s City Manager, Jordan Stanchina, during his Manager’s report Monday nigh, informed council members and the public there will be attention given t0 the hydrant system in the city. “The hydrants will be flushed from early to mid October. ” Some do’s and don’ts. Residents are reminded not to blow grass clippings into the roadways, which will eventually cause plugging problems in sewers and catch basins. The City Manager noted, “If we work together we can solve the problem of leaves and grass clippings causing the problem.” Speaking of hydrants, city council members at a previous meeting decided to invest in 20-more hydrants. This should solve the problem in the city of non-working hydrants at several locations.
