No charges will be filed against a Crystal Falls school bus driver in an incident that occurred in early March. According to Iron County Prosecuting Attorney Melissa Weston, a review of the incident, which included interviews, video and pictures, led her to determine the conduct did not rise to the level of assault and battery. The bus driver allegedly picked up the child and carried him from the bus to a spot near a bike rack. The student was asked to leave the bus for disciplinary reasons and directed to return to the office to await his parents. Witness statements indicate the student attempted to run away from the driver as he was escorted off the bus toward after school traffic. No injuries however were reported.
