(IRON MOUNTAIN, MI)–Members of the Iron Mountain City Council will hold two public hearings in the coming week. Both hearings are scheduled for Wednesday, March 29th at 6:30pm in the council chambers. The first will address the possible sale of the former Middle School building. An apartment project will provide living quarters to the public at a rent rate above low income. Jeff Michaud, President of the Iron Mountain Board of Education, thank the council members for their diligence in the effort. The second hearing will address the next move at City Park, the upgrade of playground equipment with a possible assistance through the Michigan Department of Natural Resources Trust Fund Grant. The Recreation Passport Grant Program does not require a public hearing.
