(MARINETTE, WI.) — An 81-year-old Green Bay, Wis., died in a three vehicle accident on US-141 in the Town of Beecher on Friday afternoon. Marinette County Sheriff, Jerry Sauve said a Goodman man was the driver of a northbound pickup truck that crossed the centerline near Jossart Road and collided with a southbound sedan and then a southbound pickup truck, the sheriff said. The second vehicle was a passenger car.The Green Bay man was the driver of the sedan. He was extricated from his vehicle and died of head injuries while en route to the hospital, Sauve said. The Goodman man was treated for his injuries at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital. The driver of the southbound pickup truck, a 48-year-old Langlade County, Wis., man, was not injured. The crash occurred shortly after 3:30 p.m. and remains under investigation. Assisting at the scene, e the Pembine rescue and fire departments, Amberg Fire Department, Beacon Ambulance and the deputy county coroner. This was the first traffic fatality in Marinette County in 2017.
