(IRON MOUNTAIN, MI.)–Several charges have been filed against a Breitung Township man stemming from a domestic incident and the stabbing of sheriff’s deputy. Twenty three year old Matthew Johnson is charged with attempted murder, resisting arrest, and possession of marijuana. The deputy from the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office was helped by a Kevlar vest which kept his injuries to a minimum. Meantime, Johnson will undergo a mental health screening at the Forensics Center downstate. He is being held in custody under a $750,000 bond.
