(IRON MOUNTAIN, MI.)– Dickinson County Board of Commissioners are attempting to meet with Venable representatives, according to Commissioner John Degenaer Jr. during a county board meeting Monday, they as a board need to question what is going to happen under the restructuring so they fully understand the situation and what it means each step of the way such as how Venable is working with creditors. It was pointed out on Friday through a press release from Joe Rizzo, Public Relations Manager, the hospital Board of Trustees would release information on a timely basis on how the restructuring is developing. Commissioner Joe Stevens, a liaison to the hospital board, agreed with Degenaer, but said keeping the hospital operating is the top priority. The community he said will need to have the hospital open for their use. Commissioner Ann Martin said the County Board of Commissioners must be persistent, noting they need up to date information. County Controller, Brian Bousley informed the county board members, the county will rely on counsel from Cohl, Stoker & Toskey PC of Lansing, Controller Brian Bousley said Monday.
