(IRON MOUNTAIN, MI)–BOSS Snowplow, a division of The Toro Company is proud to support the twelfth annual Tour de Dickinson Family Bike Rice schedule to take place at 8:00 AM on Saturday, August 18, 2018. BOSS Snowplow is a financial contributor, as well as, a safety contributor to the race, ensuring volunteers are visible to drivers along the route with high visibility vests. The financial support and assistance from community members and volunteers ensure a successful family bike ride.
Riders from across the community and tourists from nearly ten different states participate and enjoy the amenities the area has to offer throughout the weekend including “Italian Fest” which is held in conjunction with the race. All registered volunteers and riders receive a bracelet for free admission to the festival.
The ride is coordinated by the Dickinson County Bike Path Committee, a group of individuals dedicated to creating a county-wide bike path. All money raised from the Tour de Dickinson Family Bike Ride event support the bike paths many activities including path/trail development and maintenance. The Dickinson County Bike Path is a 501(c)3 volunteer organization that is trying to promote tourism, economic development, and a healthier way of living. Dickinson County Bike Path Committee Dickinson County Bike Path is a 501c(3) nonprofit, committed to establishing a county wide bike path and trail system linked together across all of Dickinson County, Michigan. The Dickinson County Bike Path Committee meets the third Tuesday of every month at 6:30 PM in the Dickinson County Library.
