(IRON MOUNTAIN, MI.)–In a joint statement released by the K.I.N.D. Drug Enforcement Team and Dickinson County Prosecuting Attorney, Lisa Richards, and following an investigation, one individual was arrested and a large amount to heroin and cocaine were seized from the individual’s residence. Controlled purchases of cocaine and heroin were made with 29-year old Kristine Elizabeth Woods of Iron Mountain. Following the second controlled purchase, K.I.N.D. officers sought and obtained a Search Warrant for Woods’ Iron Mountain residence. During execution of the Search Warrant, K.I.N.D. officers recovered over 70-grams of cocaine and approximately 50-grams of heroin, along with a large amount of prescription pills. Woods was subsequently charged with Delivery/Manufacture, less than 50-grams of Cocaine, a 20-year felony, stemming from the July 8th incident and Delivery/Manufacture less than 40-grams each of Cocaine and Heroin, both 20-year felonies along with Maintaining a Drug House, a two-year High Court Misdemeanor stemming from the July 9th incident. Woods was also charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver 50-450 Grams of Cocaine, Possession with Intent to Deliver less than 50-grams of Heroin, both 20-year felonies, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Hydrocodone, a two year felony and Maintaining a Drug House, a two-year High Court misdemeanor, stemming from execution of the Search Warrant on July 9th. Woods cases are set for a Probable Cause Conference in the 95B District court on July 20th at 10:45am and a Preliminary Examination on July 27th at 10am. Bond was set at $20,000 case/surety on each of the three files. Departments assisting in the investigation included Kingsford Public Safety Department, Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office and Iron Mountain Police.
