(CEDAR RIVER, MI.)–On Wednesday, June 6th at 12:48pmCST, Menominee County Central Dispatch sent all available Law Enforcement Units to highway M-35 for a red vehicle that was ramming other vehicles traveling on that roadway. Menominee County Sheriff’s Department deputies responded and located crash victims in Cedar River. Deputies also found the suspect vehicle had crashed at the intersection of M-35 and County Road 551 in Cedarville Township. The operator, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, was arrest on three counts of Felonious Assault, Operating a Vehicle Under the Influence of Drugs and for operating the vehicle while not possessing a Valid Drivers License. Victims were transported and treated at Our Sisters of St. Francis Hospital in Escanaba. The ongoing investigation indicates, according to sheriff Kenny Marks, “This series of crash events began in Menominee Township, continued through Ingallston Township then ended in Cedarville Township.” The suspect, a 22-year old Nebraska man, is scheduled for today in 95A District Court. Menominee County Sheriff’s deputies were assisted by Mid-County Rescue 114 and 114E, Cedarville fire Department, Delta County Sheriff’s Department, Michigan State Police-Gladstone Post Marinette Police, who provided the Drug Recognition Expert.
