01:41 am a deputy responded along with Nadeau Township Fire Department and DNR Fire Unit for a grass fire in Nadeau Township. The fire was called in by a passerby as out of control. Upon arriving on scene the fire was put out and the person that lit the fire, Anthony Rector (24) of Marquette, was arrested for fail to prevent spread of fire/burning permits conditions. Rector was given a court date and time to appear before 95A District Court of Menominee.
08:50 am a deputy initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle in Daggett Township for operating with no valid license. After making contact with the driver, Jody Kurtz (57) of Stephenson was arrested for driving while license revoked. He was given a court date and time to appear before 95A District Court of Menominee and was released.
06:00 pm a deputy arrested a 25-year-old Peshtigo, WI man on a valid warrant in the City of Menominee. The warrant was a 3-count warrant for violation of probation conditions out of 41st Circuit Court of Menominee. He was transported to the Menominee County Jail where he was lodged without incident.
06:00 pm a deputy arrested a 23-year-old Wausaukee, WI man on a valid warrant in the City of Menominee. The warrant was a 5-count warrant for violation of probation conditions out of 41st Circuit Court of Menominee. He was transported to the Menominee County Jail where he was lodged without incident.
08:13 pm deputies responded to an assault and battery that had just occurred in Harris Township. An investigation was conducted and the report was sent to the prosecutor’s office for review and possible charges. A warrant was issued and a 33-year-old Wilson woman was arrested for assault and battery. She is pending appearance before 95A District Court of Menominee.
09:58 pm a deputy responded to a residence in Daggett Township for a report of a suspicious situation. The caller stated he observed a subject appear to exit a neighbor’s garage and run. After searching the area a possible suspect was located and interviewed. Nothing appeared to missing or disturbed and due to lack of evidence the incident closed.

12:44 am a deputy initiated traffic stop on a vehicle for defective equipment and suspicious activity in the City of Menominee. Upon further investigation the driver, Jordan Eatherton (22) of Marinette, WI was arrested for no operator’s license. Eatherton was given a court date and time to appear before 95A District Court of Menominee and was released.

10:44 am a deputy responded to a 2-vehicle traffic accident in Nadeau Township. A vehicle driven by David Hansen (59) of Green Bay, WI was traveling on Seven Hills road and met a semi driven by Scott Menke (61) of Stephenson on a corner. Hansen stated he moved as far right as possible but the semi’s rear tire rubbed his front bumper. No injuries were reported and Hansen’s vehicle sustained only minor damage.
04:18 pm a deputy responded to a residence for a breaking and entering complaint in Nadeau Township. The caller stated while they were gone for the day someone entered their home and stole some items. An investigation was conducted and is ongoing.
05:15 pm a deputy responded to a residence for a larceny in Spalding Township. The caller stated he was missing an item from a residence however was unsure as to when it was taken. An investigation was conducted and is ongoing.

01:23 pm a deputy responded to a call of a suspicious vehicle with what appeared to be a male subject passed out inside in Menominee Township. Upon arriving on scene and conducting an investigation the driver, a 70-year-old Carney man was arrested for operating while intoxicated. The man was transported to the Menominee County Jail where he was lodged without incident.
03:23 pm a deputy responded to residence in the City of Stephenson for a property line dispute. The caller stated the neighbor was mowing grass on their property. Both parties involved were advised to have the property surveyed if the property line was in question.
09:10 pm a deputy initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for speed in Cedarville Township. Upon further investigation the driver, Casey Horrocks (19) of Marquette was arrested for transporting open intoxicants and cited for speed. Horrocks was released with a court date and time to appear before 95A District Court of Menominee. The backseat passenger, Ryan Neubauer (320 of Marquette was also arrested on 3 counts of controlled substance-possession/analogues, possession of marijuana and open intoxicants in a vehicle. Neubauer was transported to the Menominee County Jail where he was lodged without incident.

07:26 pm a deputy attempted to initiate a traffic stop on a vehicle in Meyer Township. The vehicle led the deputy on a short chase and then came to a stop in a driveway. The driver, a 21-year-old Hermansville man, was arrested for flee and elude 3rd degree and operating with no security. He was transported to the Menominee County Jail where he was lodged without further incident.

09:53 am a deputy responded to a business in Spalding Township for a report of an attempted breaking and entering. The caller stated he observed some damage to one of the business doors. The caller stated the suspect did not appear to gain entry into the building.

07:30 am a deputy arrested Allen Kropp (33) of Menominee on a valid warrant in the City of Menominee. The warrant was for fail to appear for arraignment out of 95A District Court of Menominee. Kropp was transported to the Menominee County Jail where he was lodged without incident.
11:36 am a deputy arrested Souysane Sithamat (29) of Wilson on a valid warrant in Delta County. The warrant was for failure to appear for show cause out of 95A District Court of Menominee. Sithamat was transported to the Menominee County Jail where she was lodged without incident.
04:00 pm a deputy arrested Michael Contreras (32) of Marquette on 3 valid warrants in Iron County. The first warrant was for failure to appear for a probable cause conference. The second 2 warrants were for failure to appear for show cause. All 3 warrants were out of 95A District Court of Menominee. Contreras was transported to the Menominee County Jail where he was lodged without incident.
09:40 pm a deputy responded to a business in Spalding Township for a counterfeit bill. The caller stated that a customer passed and stated that he received it from an earlier transaction at another location. The bill was turned over to the Secret Service.

07:40 am a deputy responded to a residence in Menominee Township for a report of a hit and run with damage to a mailbox and road signs. The caller stated sometime during the night a vehicle ran off of the roadway and struck 2 road signs as well as the owner’s mailbox.
08:00 am a deputy arrested Wesley Caswell (42) of Rock on a valid warrant out of Delta County. The warrant was for failure to appear for show cause hearing out of 95A District Court of Menominee. Caswell was transported to the Menominee County Jail where he was lodged without incident.
10:54 am a deputy responded to a residence in Menominee Township for an animal’s at large complaint. Upon arriving the caller stated that this has been an ongoing problem with the neighbor’s animals coming in her yard and in her garage. The owners were spoken to about keeping their animals on their own property or they could be held liable for any damage they cause.
05:11 pm a deputy responded to a one vehicle traffic accident in Menominee Township. A vehicle driven by Abigail Waldvogel (18) of Peshtigo, WI was traveling on US 41 and was attempting to make a right-hand turn onto CR 338 but was traveling to fast and ran off of the roadway. The vehicle came to rest on some rocks over a culvert. No injuries were reported and the vehicle sustained only minor undercarriage damage.
05:33 pm a deputy investigated a report of a larceny in Menominee Township. The complainant stated that his girlfriend tool several items from his residence when he was away as well as wrote some bad checks on one of his old accounts. The investigation is ongoing.
07:30 pm a deputy responded to Harris Township for a report of a found handgun. The caller stated she was volunteering for the adopt a highway program and picking up garbage along the road when she found a handgun in the ditch. The gun was recovered by the deputy. After running the handgun, it was found to be unregistered and did not come back as stolen.

10:00 pm a deputy arrested a 29-year-old Bark River man on a valid warrant in Cedarville Township. The warrant was for failure to appear to show cause out of 41st Circuit Court of Menominee. The man was transported to the Menominee County Jail where he was lodged without incident.

08:52 am a deputy responded to the grand rapids power dam in Mellen Township for a report of a found bicycle. The caller stated he located a girls bicycle in the parking lot area and no one was around. The bicycle was taken to the Menominee County Sheriff Department until the owner could be located.
11:50 pm deputies responded to a residence in the City of Stephenson for an unwanted intoxicated male. The caller stated her adult son was home all day and got drunk and is now trying to fight with her and she just wants him out of her house for the night. The male subject agreed to go to another residence for the night and the incident was closed.

02:21 am a deputy initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle in the City of Menominee for disregarding a traffic light. Upon further investigation the driver, Jeffery Goudreau (44) of Menominee was arrested for operating while intoxicated and given a warning for the stop light violation. Goudreau was transported to the Menominee County Jail where he was lodged without incident.
02:40 pm a deputy responded to a residence in Spalding Township for a report of a breaking and entering. The caller stated someone must have broken in to her house while she was at work and stole 2 items. The caller stated there was no sign of forced entry and nothing else appeared to be missing. The investigation is ongoing.

11:21 am deputies responded to a residence in the City of Stephenson for a report of an assault that had just occurred. The caller stated her neighbor just assaulted her outside of their residence. An investigation was conducted and a 41-year-old Stephenson man was arrested for felonious assault. He was transported to the Menominee County Jail where he was lodged without incident.
Deputies responded to 1 vehicle vs. animal complaint, the K-9’s were called for assistance 1 time and 2 salvage vehicle inspections was conducted.
