(IRON MOUNTAIN, MI)– After a career spanning 40-years, First National Bank & Trust announces the retirement of Steve Faust. Since 2010, Steve has overseen lending functions at the bank in his role as Executive Vice President and Chief Lending Officer. He started his career at the bank in consumer lending in 1978. In 1985, he was promoted to manager of installment lending. He was then named Assistant Vice President in 1988. In 1993, he took over the banks’ marketing responsibilities and created the marketing department as Vice President. He transitioned to commercial lending and continued to market the bank in 1995. In 2010, he was again promoted to Business Banking Manager, and in 2013 was named Senior Vice President and Chief Lending Officer. In 2014 he was promoted to Executive Vice President and Chief Lending Officer. “Steve has been a dedicated employee of First National Bank & Trust for 40 years. His leadership and experience have been invaluable in our successful execution of the bank’s strategic vision,” said David Kashian, President & CEO. Steve has a long-standing history of community involvement serving on numerous different boards and volunteering his time with multiple organizations, including serving as Treasurer for the Upper Peninsula Travel and Recreation Association for the past 28 years, the Iron Mountain Public Schools board, Trico, Dickinson Community Foundation, Chippewa Club, Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church, Cursillo Secretariat Board of the Upper Peninsula, Dickinson County Ambassadors, and Dickinson County Chamber of Commerce. “Looking back on forty years, serving as executive vice president and chief lending officer for the bank, I have had a career that has been as diverse as this ever-changing industry,” he said. “I have been able to meet and work with many great people inside and outside the bank. I have been very proud to represent this organization in our community.”
