(DICKINSON COUNTY, MI.)– The Salvation Army of Dickinson County is kicking off their bell ringing fundraising efforts Monday November 13th. Bell ringers well be stationed outside of six different stores throughout the county. They will be at Shopko, Walmart, Super One, and Econo Foods Pat’s Foods in Norway and Marcouiller’s in Niagara. This is the only fundraiser the Salvation Army does all year. It helps to raise funds for their pantry and other events. “It’s very important to ring because this is the only fundraiser we have for the whole year, and if we don’t have ringers at those kettles, we’re missing out,” said Debbie Floriano, Dickinson County Kettle Coordinator. “We need you to get out and ring to help us make others’ lives a little easier.” The Salvation Army is always looking for bell ringers. Schedules are flexible as there are plenty of spots open. To volunteer contact Debbie Floriano at 906-774-7578. Today, the staff members at Results Broadcasting in Iron Mountain, will “man the bells” throughout the day to raise funds for the Salvation Army in support of the community and to help those who need help.
