(IRON MOUNTAIN, MI.)–The Iron Mountain Police Department received a call from a resident at 116 West D Street at 10:48pm on 09/11/17. The resident who had returned home from an extended stay away from her residence found two people inside the residence. Upon arrival, IMPD Officers located a female subject in the residence, a male subject had fled prior to Officers arrival on scene. Through the investigation it was learned that while the resident was away, the residence was being used to produce methamphetamine. IMPD Officers requested that UPSET Detectives respond to the scene to assist with cleanup and processing of the scene. The Iron Mountain Fire Department was called to the scene to assist and standby in the event rescue was needed. Also assisting on scene was the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office. All responders cleared the scene at approximately 2:30am on 09/12/17. After the investigation is complete a formal report will be submitted to Dickinson County Prosecutors Office for review and potential arrest warrants.
