BEECHER, WI.– Marinette County deputies say a standoff at a home in Beecher is over and the person they wanted is in custody. The sheriff’s office expects to release more information soon.
The announcement came almost four hours after a 911 caller reported shots fired shortly after 12 p.m. this afternoon (Wednesday).
(BEECHER, WI.)–Marinette County Sheriff’s Office officials at 12:16 p.m. on May 24, 2017, Marinette County Dispatch received a 911 call regarding shots fired from a residence in the Town of Beecher. Officers are currently dealing with an armed, barricaded subject on Smeester School Road.
Marinette County Sheriff’s Office believes this is an isolated incident and the community is safe at this time.
The Sheriff’s Office is requesting people to avoid Smeester School Road between Co. Rd. L and Town Corner Lake Road.
