(IRON MOUNTAIN, MI.)–Dickinson County Prosecuting Attorney, Lisa M. Richards, has released information for the month of March. The prosecutor’s Office received 83-police reports from the five area law enforcement agencies and the DNR Out of the reports received, 43-misdemeanor arrest warrants were authorized and 14-felony warrants were issued. 15-warrant requests were reviewed and denied and two were resubmitted to the investigating agency for further investigation to be completed. Seven Warrants were issued for domestic violence and/or assault crimes; 11-warrants were authorized for alcohol related offenses; one warrant was authorized for fugitive from justice, one warrant was issued for indecent exposure, two warrants were issued for using a computer to commit a crime and 23-warrants were authorized for various traffic related offenses. One abuse and neglect petition and one juvenile delinquency petition were also drafted and submitted to the Probate Court by the Prosecutor’s Office . The Prosecutor’s office had 22-schduled preliminary examinations and 17-defendants were bound over to the 41st Circuit Court for further proceedings. Numerous bench trials, motion hearings, probation violation hearings, show case hearings and other miscellaneous hearings were conducted in the District, Probate and Circit Curts. In addition, there were 9-Circuit Court Sentencing hearings, 24-Circuit Court pre-trial conferences and 19-Circuit Court Arraignments that were conducted.
