Kingsford High School is proud to announce that for the second year in a row, a KHS senior has been named as a finalist for the US Army-Pro Football Hall of Fame Award Of Excellence. This year, senior Kaitlyn Hicks has been selected as one of the twenty-five National Finalists.
Kaitlyn will be honored with a ceremony at Kingsford High School on Friday April 21 at 10:00 am CST. At this ceremony Kaitlyn will receive her Finalist Award of Excellence plaque and jacket from a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
During the ceremony Kaitlyn will be honored by members of the US Army, Pro Football Hall of Fame Executive Committee and a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
The ceremony on April 21 is open to the public. Members of the Kingsford High School Marching Band will provide the welcome. In attendance will be the 6-12 student body, community members, students from Woodland Elementary and Kaitlyn’s family.
Kaitlyn, members of her family and the twenty four other National Finalists have been invited to the Pro Football Hall of Fame Induction ceremonies in Canton Ohio the first week in August. During the weekend activities the National Winner will be announced.
Last year, Benjamin Moreau was the KHS finalist from the class of 2016.
