NIAGARA FIREWORKS PIZZA FUND DRIVE GETS UNDERWAY
The popular Niagara fireworks pizza sale got underway this week. The pizza fundraiser is the seventh annual for the Niagara Community Fireworks Committee which will use the funds raised to help finance some of the costs for the 2017 fireworks at the Niagara Lions Community Picnic on June 23-24.
Five vendors have agreed to participate and these include Niagara businesses Audrey’s Ravioli Shop, Bob’s Country Bar, Red Brick Inn, Uptown Lanes & Lounge, and Pizza Oven of Kingsford. The cost will again be just $8.00 for each 12-inch homemade pizza for either sausage and cheese or pepperoni and cheese pizzas. All participating businesses will donate $2.00 back to the Fireworks Committee for each pizza sold. The goal this year will be to exceed the record of 793 pizzas sold which was set in 2014.
The pizza sale will run from February 6-April 14 and those who purchase pizzas will pick them up at the business they ordered from on Saturday, May 6. Pizza order forms are available at the Forward Financial Credit Union at its Niagara and Iron Mountain offices, at the Niagara office of mBank, from each vendor, and from Fireworks committee members Gordon Behnke, Dan Decker, Kerry Grippen, Char Liebergen, Lenore Neveau, Andrea Romitti, Robert Whitens, and volunteer Nancy Morin.
